Blue Dress in Tossed Hearts, Red Belt & White Shoes
Sweet April showers do spring May flowers.
It has been a while since I wrote my last blog post. Spring took me away spinning in the dance of its sounds, aromas and spirits. I have been doing lots of sports, mostly outdoor inline skating, and it made my Spring special. My go-to outfits became sports leggings, shorts, dri-fit tanks, long sleeve exercise tops, and sneakers. I enjoyed all things Spring could offer, and now is the time to share it all with you. So, when I finally took a small break from my outdoor activities, I found myself longing for a nice girly day dress. I saw one in a J Crew store, but they did not carry my size. I had to wait till it hit the ebay at the price I could buy it without too much thinking. I was lucky to find a good deal, and it was my size! It is a blue and white dress in tossed hearts, which can be perfect for many occasions, from birthdays to lunches. A nice blazer (white or red) would complement the outfit for a cooler night out. I also added a red belt thrifted in Marshall’s for $8! Simple and nice! No rules today that the belt should match the color of your shoes, so I chose my all-time favorite Gucci open-toe white heels and a red skinny belt. Break the rules! Enjoy the Spring!
You can add accessories of the same color as the belt (necklace and bracelet in the photo below) if you are worried about the color coordination. My matching red framed sun glasses by Marc Jacobs has been my favorites since they are light weight and leave no marks on the face.
